Information for the disabled:

 

The Gdynia Aquarium is accessible to the disabled and those with limited mobility- (film)
  1. The entrance at the ground floor of the building has a ramp providing wheelchair access.
  2. There is elevator access to the second floor, where the exhibit begins.
  3. On the second floor, there is a handrail around the aquarium and turtle exhibits to assist visitors in wheelchairs or those with limited mobility.
  4. On the first floor there is a handrail around the coral reef aquarium and a ramp that leads to a terrace and cafe, from which there is an expansive view of the Gulf of Gdańsk.
  5. The Wet Room on the ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible. The exhibits in this room are designed to be explored through touch, which is especially important for the visually impaired.
  6. The ground floor is home to the Amazon exhibit, which is housed in a spacious room.
  7. There are two fully accessible restrooms on the ground floor.

Additional information:

  1. Organized groups are requested to make reservations at least two weeks in advance.
  2. Guides are available to give tours of the Gdynia Aquarium in sign language.
  3. In order to avoid crowds, it is advisable to visit the Gdynia Aquarium in the mornings between 09:00 and 11:00 or in the afternoons after 16:00.

The Gdynia Aquarium was honored in 2007 with the medal "Friend of Integration".
